Torben B. Sorensen is a freelance journalist based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and specializing in IT. He graduated from the Danish School of Journalism in 1990.

He is the editor and one of the founders of the technology-oriented Danish IT news site IT-dialog.dk.

Prior to his freelance work Torben B. Sorensen was a journalist and editor at the Danish edition of Computerworld magazine from 1990 to 2001. He worked for the Danish Computer Emergency Response Team (DK-CERT) from 2002 to 2005.

His writing has appeared in numerous Danish publications such as Computerworld, Erhvervsbladet (a daily paper targeted to the SME market), Telekommunikation, and end-user magazine Komputer for Alle. He covers many IT subjects, mostly with a slightly more technical rather than
business-oriented angle. Security is a major area of interest, but he also covers networking, storage technologies, and software development.

Torben B. Sorensen is the author of the books “Musik på PC” (Making Music on Your PC) and “Beskyt din pc!” (Protect Your PC). The latter has been translated into six languages and is currently in its second edition.

During his career Torben B. Sorensen has covered many trade shows, including Comdex/Fall, NetWorld+Interop, CeBIT, RSA Conference Europe, Microsoft Professional Developers Conference, and Storage Networking World Europe.
